| The most exquisite farms for sale in
Virginia are in Loudoun County (which encompasses Leesburg,
Middleburg and Upperville), Fauquier County (Warrenton),
Lexington Virginia and Albemarle County (Charlottesville).
The majority of these Virginia farms are private, historic
and architecturally significant. |

If you are planning to purchase a farm in
Central Virginia here's how to begin your search. First look
outside Charlottesville at Albemarle County farms for sale
to see the most impressive assortment of professional
equestrian facilities, historic James River cattle farms and
award-winning vineyards. There are very few alpaca farms for
sale in Central Virginia for some reason.

Then go north and look at Greene, Madison and Orange County farms; then south to Amherst, Buckingham and Nelson
County (the most idyllic Nelson County farm would be one at
the base of Wintergreen Ski Resort so you can work hard and
play hard); then east to Goochland and Fluvanna County; and
finally west to Augusta County (the Augusta County farming
area of Middlebrook Virginia offers fabulous properties) and
Lexington Va (where the Virginia Horse Center is located) to
find similar yet much more affordable farms.
The least expensive
Central Virginia farms will be found in Buckingham (very remote) and
Amherst (depressed but near Lynchburg) Counties. The most expensive
farms in Central Virginia are in Albemarle, Orange (western and
southern Orange County only!) and Lexington. We specialize in farms
for sale in these counties.
